The Star Spangled Banner

We all feel bad for what happened to Christina Aguilera, right? Well, maybe not.  But come on, we all make mistakes.  But what professional would get on the most popular sport stage and NOT have rehearsed it to the point of it just flowing out without any "fumbles".   Maybe if she hadn't taken the beautiful tune and tried to make it into a blues song she would have remembered the words.  She mangled one of our nations most beautiful and recognizable songs by adding her version of a jazzed up tune.  Personally I think there should be a rule for all performers who sing the National Anthem.... read the sheet music and DO NOT STRAY FROM IT!!!!!  Speaking of which, isn't the cover of the sheet music gorgeous......

And just for the record.....

O! say can you see by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

So What's a Schmogger?

The reason for this blog is to share ALL the things that come to the minds of two people...Kat and Beth!!  Why "Schmogger" you ask.  One of the many conversations I have had with Kat included the word schmogger and I loved it so much I wanted to start a blog about all the things with forgotten names.  So Kat, this blog's dedicated to You and all the times you make me laugh!!!
